Emergency online protest against disability cuts!

It’s been announced that MPs will be voting on the government’s proposed cuts to disability benefits on Tuesday 1st July.  

Before then, it is essential that every single MP hears from as many of their constituents as possible about the dangers of these cuts and why they must be voted down.

We are holding an emergency online protest this Thursday 26th June from 8-9pm, where we will from those who will be directly impacted by these cuts about what is at stake, and we will take urgent collective action to lobby MPs ahead of next week’s vote.

STOP DISABILITY BENEFIT CUTS

The Dis_PPL_Protest account is urging supporters to join a rally on Monday, 30 June 2025 at 4:30 PM in Parliament Square, London (SW1P 3JX) to protest against cuts to disability benefits. It’s a call for solidarity under the hashtag #WelfareNotWarfare to help amplify disabled voices and demand fair treatment.

National Day of Action: Liverpool Protest

Join @merseysideDPAC on Tuesday 1st July at 4:00pm for a powerful in-person protest against the Government’s proposed disability benefit cuts. This event is part of the National Day of Action and is being organised by Merseyside DPAC and Merseyside Crips Against Cuts.

Gathering outside Lime Street Station, Liverpool, to make it clear: these cuts are dangerous, unjust, and must be stopped.

Use the hashtags #TakingThePIP and #StopDisabilityBenefitCuts to help amplify our message online if you can’t attend in person.

LeicesterShire ANIT- CUTS ALLIANCE

Join the protest in Leicester on Sat June 14 at 2pm

The nearest accessible toilets for general non customer uses is on the first floor accessible via lifts in Haymarket shopping centre. There’s also the High Cross shopping centre which have accessible toilets and a changing spaces option.

The Haymarket bus station is 4 minutes away and they have accessible toilets.

St Margaret’s bus station the main one is 6 minutes away and they have accessible toilets and changing spaces facilities.

Leicester Train Station is a 12 minute walk down one street which is mostly flat. There’s also a free hop bus service people can get from the train station to the Haymarket shopping centre.
